These Terms of Use (these "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions governing the use of the video streaming service NJPW WORLD (the "Service"), which is operated and provided by TV Asahi Corporation ("TV Asahi") and New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd. ("NJPW"; collectively, the "Companies").
Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in these Terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Article 1. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
Article 1 (Definitions)
In these Terms, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:
(1) User
"User" means any person who uses the Service provided under these Terms.
(2) Monthly Subscription Plan
"Monthly Subscription Plan" means the monthly fixed-fee subscription service offered as part of the Service, through which multiple video and other content relating to New Japan Pro-Wrestling and other programming (collectively, the "Content") are made available via streaming over the Internet for a fee.
(3) Pay-Per-View (PPV)
"Pay-Per-View" or "PPV" means the service offered as part of the Service through which Users may access individual Content via streaming over the Internet by selecting a payment method and paying the applicable viewing fee for such Content.
The purchase price, viewing period, and other viewing conditions vary depending on the Content. Before purchasing any Content, Users must review the applicable conditions and pay the applicable viewing fee for such Content through the NJPW WORLD website. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from purchasing any PPV Content.
(4) Account
"Account" means the information registered by a User for the Service, including the User’s email address and associated identifiers issued by the Companies for the purpose of identifying the User. Registration of an Account is required in order to subscribe to the Monthly Subscription Plan or purchase PPV Content.
(5) Member
"Member" means a User who has registered an Account.
Article 2 (Scope of Application and Amendments)
These Terms set forth the terms and conditions governing the use of the Service and apply to all Users.
The Companies may amend these Terms at their discretion if such amendment is consistent with the general interests of Users, or if the Companies reasonably determine that such amendment is necessary and appropriate, taking into consideration the purpose of these Terms, the necessity of the amendment, the reasonableness of the amended content, and other relevant circumstances.If the Companies amend these Terms, they shall notify Users by posting the amended Terms and the effective date of such amendment on the NJPW WORLD website. The amended Terms shall become effective upon the arrival of the applicable effective date.
Article 3 (Membership Eligibility)
Only individuals who are at least thirteen (13) years of age are eligible to become Members. By accessing or using the Service and/or providing information through the Service, a User represents that they are not under thirteen (13) years of age.
Article 4 (Monthly Subscription Plan and PPV)
Any person wishing to subscribe to the Monthly Subscription Plan or purchase PPV Content shall apply to the Companies for such subscription or purchase by agreeing to these Terms and providing the required Account information to the Companies in the manner specified by the Companies.
A subscription to the Monthly Subscription Plan or a purchase of PPV Content shall be deemed concluded when the Companies notify the Member that the relevant application has been accepted. Upon such conclusion, the Member may use the Monthly Subscription Plan or access the applicable PPV Content.
The Companies may refuse an application for a subscription to the Monthly Subscription Plan or the purchase of PPV Content if any of the following circumstances applies:
(1) Any part of the Account information provided to the Companies is false, inaccurate, or incomplete.
(2) The applicant is a minor and has not obtained the consent of a parent, legal guardian, or other legally authorized representative, where such consent is required.
(3) The Companies reasonably determine, based on reasonable grounds, that the applicant is an anti-social force (meaning an organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, a right-wing organization, an anti-social organization, or any other person or entity of a similar nature; the same shall apply hereinafter), or has any relationship or involvement with an anti-social force, including through the provision of financial support or otherwise cooperating with or participating in the maintenance, operation, or management of such anti-social force.
(4) The applicant has previously been subject to any measure set forth in Article 16.
(5) The Companies reasonably determine, based on reasonable grounds, that the relevant subscription or purchase is inappropriate.
Article 5 (Updates to Account Information)
Members shall promptly update their Account information if any changes occur to the Account information they have registered.
Article 6 (Account Management)
Members shall use and manage their Accounts with the care of a prudent administrator. Members shall not permit any third party to use their Account, nor lend, transfer, assign, change the registered name of, sell, or otherwise dispose of their Account.
The Companies shall not be liable for any unauthorized use of a Member's Account by a third party. Members shall remain responsible for and shall pay in full all subscription fees for the Monthly Subscription Plan and all viewing fees for PPV Content incurred as a result of any unauthorized use of their Account by a third party; provided, however, that this shall not apply to the extent that such unauthorized use is attributable to the Companies' fault.
Article 7 (Conditions of Use)
Users shall, at their own expense and responsibility, procure the devices necessary to access and use the Service in the operating environment separately specified by the Companies, enter into any required high-speed Internet service agreements, install the necessary applications, and make any other preparations required to use the Service.
Certain Content made available through the Service may not be available in certain countries or regions. Geographic restrictions apply based on the location from which a User accesses the Service. The Companies may use various technologies and methods to verify a User's location.
Article 8 (Fees and Payment)
Members who subscribe to the Monthly Subscription Plan or purchase PPV Content shall pay the applicable subscription fee for the Monthly Subscription Plan or the applicable viewing fee for PPV Content in accordance with the payment methods separately specified by the Companies. The initial subscription fee for the Monthly Subscription Plan shall be charged at the time the subscription is concluded, and the viewing fee for PPV Content shall be charged at the time the applicable PPV Content is purchased.
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, any subscription fee for the Monthly Subscription Plan or viewing fee for PPV Content that has been paid shall be non-refundable.
The Companies may, at their discretion, change the subscription fee for the Monthly Subscription Plan, provided that such change is not unreasonably excessive. As a general rule, the Companies will notify Users of any such change at least thirty (30) days in advance.
Article 9 (Automatic Renewal of the Monthly Subscription Plan)
The term of the Monthly Subscription Plan shall continue until thirty (30) days after the date on which the subscription is concluded, calculated based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The Member may use the Monthly Subscription Plan until the expiration of the applicable subscription term.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, unless the cancellation procedure is completed by the day before the expiration of the applicable subscription term, calculated based on UTC, the applicable subscription fee for the renewal term shall be charged, on the last day of the current subscription term, using the payment method designated by the Member when subscribing to the Monthly Subscription Plan. Upon successful processing of such payment, the subscription term shall automatically renew for an additional thirty (30) days, calculated based on UTC. The subscription shall continue to renew automatically in the same manner for each subsequent subscription term unless cancelled.
If payment for an automatic renewal cannot be successfully processed due to a payment authorization failure, system error, or any other similar reason, the Companies may retry the payment once per day for up to seven (7) consecutive days, beginning on the day following the unsuccessful payment attempt, calculated based on UTC. During this period of up to seven (7) days (the "Grace Period"), the Member will continue to have access to the Monthly Subscription Plan. If the payment is successfully processed during the Grace Period, the Monthly Subscription Plan shall be treated as having been automatically renewed; provided, however, that the renewed subscription term shall be the same as if the automatic renewal had been completed without any payment retry.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs, if a Member subscribes to the Monthly Subscription Plan through a third-party platform or application (including Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku), the subscription term, the deadline for completing the cancellation procedure to prevent automatic renewal, the timing of billing, and other matters described in the preceding paragraphs shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable third-party provider.
Article 10 (Suspension of the Service)
The Companies may suspend the provision of the Service without prior notice to Users if any of the following circumstances applies:
(1) Emergency inspection or maintenance of the systems relating to the Service is required.
(2) The operation of the Service becomes impossible due to a natural disaster, power outage, fire, riot, or any other similar event.
(3) The Companies reasonably determine, based on reasonable grounds, that such suspension is necessary.
The Companies may suspend all or part of the systems relating to the Service in order to perform scheduled system maintenance, provided that prior notice of such maintenance is posted on the NJPW WORLD website.
The Companies shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by a User as a result of the suspension of the Service pursuant to the preceding two paragraphs, except as otherwise expressly provided in these Terms.
Article 11 (Changes to Content)
The Content made available through the Monthly Subscription Plan or as PPV Content may be changed from time to time. The availability of any Content may be discontinued without prior notice.
Article 12 (Ownership of Rights)
All copyrights, design rights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights in and to the Service are owned by the Companies or their licensors. Nothing in these Terms or the use of the Service shall be construed as granting any right, title, or interest in or to such intellectual property rights to any User.
Article 13 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users shall not engage in any of the following acts in connection with their use of the Service:
Any act that violates any applicable law or regulation.
Any act that is contrary to public order or morals.
Making any Content available for viewing by an unspecified or large number of persons.
Any act that infringes the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, reputation, or any other rights or interests of the Companies, other Users of the Service, or any third party.
Any act that places an excessive burden on the systems or network relating to the Service.
Any act that may interfere with the operation of the Service.
Accessing the Service without authorization or attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Collecting information relating to other Users of the Service.
Any act that causes disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to the Companies, other Users of the Service, or any third party.
Any act that directly or indirectly causes or facilitates any of the acts described in the preceding items.
Any act, other than those set forth in the preceding items, that the Companies reasonably determine, based on reasonable grounds, to be inappropriate for a User of the Service.
Article 14 (Cancellation of the Monthly Subscription Plan)
A Member may initiate the cancellation procedure for the Monthly Subscription Plan at any time in the manner separately specified by the Companies. If the Member subscribed to the Monthly Subscription Plan through a third-party platform or application (including Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku), the applicable cancellation procedure should be confirmed through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page or other support resources designated by the applicable third-party provider.
Cancellation shall take effect upon the expiration of the subscription term in effect at the time the cancellation procedure is initiated; provided, however, that if the cancellation procedure is not completed by the day preceding the expiration of such subscription term, calculated based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), cancellation shall instead take effect upon the expiration of the automatically renewed subscription term. Until the effective date of cancellation, the Member may continue to use the Monthly Subscription Plan. No refund or reduction of the subscription fee shall be made for any remaining portion of the subscription term if the cancellation procedure is completed before the expiration of such term.
If, upon cancellation, the Member owes any outstanding obligation to the Companies, the Member shall automatically forfeit the benefit of any applicable term with respect to all such obligations and shall immediately pay all amounts due to the Companies.
Article 15 (Deletion of an Account)
A Member may delete the Member's Account in the manner separately specified by the Companies.
Upon completion of the deletion of the Account, the Member will no longer be able to use the Monthly Subscription Plan or PPV Content.
Deletion of an Account does not constitute cancellation of the Monthly Subscription Plan. Before deleting an Account, a Member must complete the applicable cancellation procedure based on the method by which the Member subscribed to the Monthly Subscription Plan. Once an Account has been deleted, the Member will no longer be able to complete the cancellation procedure through the website. For information regarding the applicable cancellation procedure for each subscription method, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page or other support resources.
Article 16 (Suspension of the Service, Monthly Subscription Plan or PPV Content; Termination of
Agreements)
The Companies may suspend the provision of the Service, the Monthly Subscription Plan, or PPV Content to a Member, or immediately terminate the Membership Agreement and/or any agreement relating to the Member's use of the Monthly Subscription Plan or PPV Content, if any of the following circumstances applies:
The Member fails to pay the subscription fee for the Monthly Subscription Plan by the applicable payment due date.
The Member materially breaches these Terms.
The Companies reasonably determine, based on reasonable grounds, that it is inappropriate to continue providing the Service to the Member, including where the Companies are unable to contact the Member for an extended period of time.
The Member dies.
Article 17 (Termination of the Service)
The Companies may, by providing prior notice through the Service, terminate the Membership Agreement and any agreement relating to the use of the Monthly Subscription Plan or PPV Content with all Members, and discontinue the provision of the Service, the Monthly Subscription Plan, and PPV Content.
Article 18 (Prohibition on Assignment)
A User may not assign, transfer, create a security interest in, or otherwise dispose of the User's status under these Terms or any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without the Companies' prior written consent.
If the Companies transfer the business relating to the Service to a third party, the Companies may assign to the transferee, in connection with such business transfer, their status under these Terms, all rights and obligations under these Terms, and the registration information of the Members. Each Member hereby consents in advance to such assignment. For the purposes of this paragraph, a "business transfer" includes any transaction resulting in the transfer of the business, including a company split or any other form of business succession.
Article 19 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability)
The Companies make no representation or warranty that the Service will meet any particular purpose of a User, possess the functionality, characteristics, or usefulness expected by the User, or operate without defects or interruptions.
The Companies shall not be liable for any damages incurred by a User arising out of or in connection with any modification to, suspension or termination of, the Service by the Companies, termination of a Member's registration, inability to use the Service, malfunction of or damage to the User's devices resulting from the use of the Service, or any other damages suffered by the User in connection with the use of the Service (collectively, the "User Damages").
Notwithstanding this Article or any other provision of these Terms limiting or excluding liability, if the Companies are held liable to a User for breach of contract or tort under applicable law, the Companies' aggregate liability for the User Damages shall not exceed the total amount of the subscription fees for the Monthly Subscription Plan and/or the viewing fees for PPV Content actually paid by the User to the Companies during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to such liability. In no event shall the Companies be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, consequential, or future damages, or for any loss of profits.
The Companies shall have no responsibility or liability for any transaction, communication, dispute, or other interaction between a User and any other User or third party in connection with the Service.
The provisions of the preceding three paragraphs shall not apply where the Companies have acted with willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 20 (Handling of User Information)
The Companies shall handle information relating to Users, including Account Information, in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and each User hereby consents to the Companies' handling of such information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Article 21 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
Any dispute arising between the Companies and any User or other person in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo Summary Court or the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
Article 22 (Language)
These Terms are executed in the Japanese language, which shall be the governing language of these Terms. Even if these Terms are translated into any language other than Japanese, such translation shall not affect the interpretation of any provision of these Terms. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between such translation and these Terms prepared in Japanese, the Japanese version of these Terms shall prevail in all cases.

6. Additional Fees
The user will bear any costs associated with equipment required for streaming or using the Service, internet connection fees, data usage charges, telecommunication charges for telecommunication lines, and any other costs related to the Service.
7. Payment Methods
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners), some debit cards, PayPal, DOCOMO-payment, au PAY, Softbank Collective Payment, Y Mobile Collective Payment, App Store, Google Play Store, Amazon In-App Purchasing, and Roku Pay.
※PPV purchases cannot be made using App Store, Google Play Store, Amazon in-app purchases, or Roku Pay.
※Roku Pay is not available for payments made from within Japan.
8. Purchase Period
If a purchase period is specified for a particular content or service, the applicable period and related details will be displayed on the relevant page.
9. Billing Period
(1) Monthly Pass
The first payment of the subscription fee will be processed at the time of the subscription. Based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the subscription period will commence on the date of subscription and continue for 30 days, including the date of subscription. The User may use Monthly Pass until the end of the subscription period.
Unless the cancellation procedure is completed by the day before the expiration date of the subscription period based on UTC, the subscription fee for the applicable Monthly Pass for the renewed subscription period will be automatically charged on the expiration date of the subscription period using the payment method designated by the User at the time of subscription. Upon successful completion of such payment, the subscription period will be automatically renewed for an additional 30 days based on UTC. The subscription period after each automatic renewal will continue to be automatically renewed indefinitely in the same manner.
Monthly Pass purchased via third party apps (e.g., Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku) will be billed according to the billing period specified by the said third party app.
2) Pay-Per-View (PPV)
Billed at the time of purchase.
10. Payment Period
As per the payment period specified by each payment method.
11. Availability of the Service
The Service will be available immediately after completion of the subscription procedure. Please note that some products or content may have a specified or limited viewing period or expiration date. In such case, viewing will only be available during the specified viewing period or time limitation.

13. Cancellation
The User may cancel Monthly Pass by completing the prescribed cancellation procedure. Please click here for information on how to cancel the plan.
However, cancellation will become effective upon expiration of the subscription period applicable at the time the cancellation procedure is completed. If the cancellation procedure is not completed by the day before the expiration date of the applicable subscription period, based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the cancellation will become effective upon expiration of the automatically renewed subscription period. The User may continue to use Monthly Pass until the cancellation becomes effective. No refunds or fee reductions will be provided.
Except as otherwise provided above, the User may not withdraw the subscription application or terminate the subscription for reasons attributable to the User.
Please note that if the User subscribes to Monthly Pass through a third-party platform (such as Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku), the subscription period, the deadline for completing cancellation procedures to stop automatic renewal, the timing of payments, and other related matters shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable third party.
